On Page 14, Daniel and Jennet were listed among the Communicants where, next to Daniel's name, are the words "Died in 1846".

On Page 258 on his book, "Miscellaneous Ancient Records of Moore County, NC", Rassie Wicker transcribed the 1850 Moore census household #1011 as:

McKenzie, Jennet 58 (age) Kenneth 26 Murdoch 20 Anna 26 Christian 18 Catherine 15 Kenneth 9 Anna E. 3

"Kineth McKenzie" appears on the 1860 census as an "overseer" (age 35) listed in household #1247/1230. His mother, Jennet McKenzie, is still head of a household (#1165/1149) containing Murdoch, Anna, "Kindred" , (Mary?), and Anna E.

Kenneth McKenzie married Mary Ellen Saunders on Jan 15, 1865. She was the granddaughter of Hardy Sanders of Cabin Creek, Moore County.

According to a family group sheet prepared by Kenneth Sidney McKenzie III, their family consisted of: Kenneth Sidney McKenzie (1840-26 Apr 1897) Mary Ellen Sanders (27 Dec 1844-30 Dec 1915) Exie Jane b. 4 Mar 1864 John A. b. 29 Apr 1866 Angus Alexander b. 25 Sep 1868 Malcom Daniel b. 26 Oct 1871 Mettie A. b. 15 Jul 1874 Kenneth Sidney b. 11 Apr 1877 Mary Allice b. 29 Jan 1880 Ida Florence b. 22 May 1883

This family group sheet prepared by Kenneth Sidney McKenzie III also gives Kenneth's father as "Angus" (not Daniel) and a birthdate of 1840 (not 1820s). Both are inconsistent with the Bensalem church records and census records.

Kenneth McKenzie continues to appear on Moore County census for 1870 and 1880. He was buried in the Bensalem Church graveyard. The birth date on his tombstone reads "Dec 27, 1822". The adjacent tombstone bears the inscription "Mary E. - wife of Kenneth McKenzie".
